At Hound Owls, we’re more than a preschool — we’re a family.
Our Mission
We support every child as an individual, helping them grow emotionally, socially, and physically through hands-on experiences and positive guidance. By following each child’s interests, we make learning fun, engaging, and personal.
Our Curriculum
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, designed to support development across seven key areas:
Prime Areas
Specific Areas
Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World; Expressive Arts & Design
Children learn through active play, open-ended activities, and a balance of adult-led and child-initiated learning.
Outdoor Learning
Our setting includes access to Friars Copse woodland, where children enjoy regular nature walks and outdoor play.
These experiences help build confidence, resilience, and a connection to the natural world; all while having lots of fun in the fresh air.
Family Partnerships
From day one, we work closely with families to build strong, supportive relationships. We value open communication and encourage parents to be part of their child’s journey every step of the way.
We also share regular updates and snapshots of daily activities on our Our Little Adventures page; a lovely way for parents to see what their children have been exploring, learning, and enjoying at Hound Owls.
